Mr. Stanley’s background combines solid litigation experience with a bit of southern charm.  Following law school, he was a general civil litigator for several years, obtaining a broad range of expertise defending corporate, government and individual clients on a wide variety of employment, civil rights and personal injury claims.  In 2003, Mr. Stanley joined the prestigious family law firm of Warner, Mayoue & Bates in Atlanta, Georgia.  Since that time, he has specialized in domestic matters involving high earners, significant estates and complicated legal issues, representing everyone from high-profile entertainers to corporate executives to stay-at-home parents.  Mr. Stanley relocated to Los Angeles in 2005, where he has continued specializing in financially significant and legally complex family law matters.

Mr. Stanley handles traditional divorce cases, dissolutions of domestic partnerships, and “palimony” cases.  He also drafts and negotiates cohabitation agreements, premarital agreements, postnuptial agreements and marital settlement agreements.  Mr. Stanley is a zealous advocate, prepared to take a matter through trial to achieve the best possible result for his client.  However, he is also thoughtful and practical in managing his cases, making sure to understand and meet client goals in the most efficient manner, including through settlement, where appropriate.
