Robert Stanley contributed a new chapter to ‘California Domestic Partnerships and Same-Sex Marriage’ a book by California’s Continuing Education of the Bar. In what is considered the complete guide to same-sex marriage and registered domestic partnerships, Stanley discusses special issues faced by same-sex couples on termination of their relationship including evolving rights of couples, premarital and pre partnership relationships and retroactivity as well as interstate relationships and Marvin claims.
Stanley, a partner at Jaffe and Clemens has practiced law for more than 16 years, including more than a decade of family law practice, with special expertise in representing couples in same–sex relationships. He is a member of the Los Angeles Lesbian & Gay Lawyers Association and the family law sections of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
